About the Distillery / Region
Hellyers Road Distillery is Australia’s oldest operating single malt whisky distillery, established in 1999 on Tasmania’s rugged north west coast. Using pure local water, a long fermentation and slow distillation, Hellyers Road produces whiskies known for richness, balance and consistency.
The distillery’s proximity to the Southern Ocean plays a subtle but important role in maturation, lending a gentle maritime influence to its whiskies. Aurora Australis reflects this sense of place marrying natural elegance with depth and structure through careful cask selection and blending.
