The 2014 Wendouree Shiraz Mataro is a distinguished red blend from Clare Valley, South Australia, crafted by A.P. Birks Wendouree. This vintage is renowned for its depth, structure, and aging potential, reflecting the winery's commitment to traditional winemaking practices and the unique terroir of its historic vineyards.

An iron fist in a velvet glove best describes these extraordinary wines. They are fashioned with commitment from the very old vineyard (shiraz, cabernet sauvignon, malbec, mataro and muscat of alexandria), with its unique terroir, by Tony and Lita Brady, who rightly see themselves as custodians of a priceless treasure. The 100 plus year old stone winery is virtually unchanged from the day it was built, this is in every sense a treasure beyond price.

An 80/20% blend from 1893 plantings (Central Vineyard), 1919 (Eastern), and 1920 (Eastern) bushvines. The colour is fractionally lighter than the Shiraz, and it has the lightest body (strictly in comparison to its two siblings).
