Barossa Boy Double Trouble Shiraz Cabernet 2023 is a vibrant South Australian red that brings together the richness of Barossa Valley Shiraz with the lift and structure of Eden Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. The cooler 2023 season helped build freshness and varietal definition, giving the wine plenty of fruit intensity while keeping the palate bright and balanced. This is a generous, easy drinking blend with classic Australian appeal.

Tasting Notes

Aroma: Lifted blackcurrant, cool spearmint, raspberry and sweet cinnamon spice.

Palate: Plush and fruit driven, with bold dark fruit, blackcurrant and raspberry supported by sleek tannins and fine French oak.

Finish: Smooth and well rounded, with lingering spice, dark fruit and polished oak.

Serving Suggestions

A great match for grilled steaks, lamb chops, barbecue sausages, beef burgers or hard aged cheeses.

Double Trouble is built around the classic Australian pairing of Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon, drawing on valley floor Shiraz for power and Eden Valley Cabernet for freshness and finesse.

Cellaring Potential

Drinking beautifully now for its generous fruit and polished style, and it should continue to show well over the next few years under good cellaring conditions. A current drinking window through to around 2029 suits this vintage well.
