“Unfiltered Bavarian Kellerbier with fresh bread, soft caramel, herbal hops and a smooth rustic finish.”

Riegele Kellerbier is a traditional unfiltered Bavarian lager with plenty of malt character, gentle hop bitterness and that slightly rustic feel you only really get from a proper cellar beer.

Fresh bread, cereal grain and soft caramel lead the way, with herbal hops and a faint touch of yeast underneath. The palate is smooth and rounded, with lively carbonation and enough bitterness to keep everything balanced and refreshing.

Kellerbier gives you a more characterful alternative to a standard lager. It is still crisp and easy to drink, but the unfiltered style brings extra texture, malt depth and a little more personality.

Tasting Notes

Aroma: Fresh bread, cereal grain, soft caramel, herbal hops and subtle yeast.

Palate: Smooth and medium bodied with bready malt, gentle caramel sweetness and balanced hop bitterness.

Finish: Clean, lightly rustic and refreshing with lingering malt, herbs and soft yeast character.

About The Brewery

Brauhaus Riegele is based in Augsburg, Bavaria, and traces its brewing history back to 1386. The brewery is known for producing a broad range of traditional German beer styles while keeping a strong focus on classic Bavarian brewing methods.

Kellerbier is one of those styles that feels especially traditional. It is left unfiltered, allowing more of the malt, yeast and hop character to remain in the beer, giving it extra texture and a slightly hazy appearance.

The result is fuller and more rustic than a standard filtered lager, but still balanced and highly drinkable. Think of it as lager with a little more personality and considerably less polishing.
