Camba Jager Weisse is a modern take on Bavarian wheat beer, combining the soft, fruity character of a traditional Weisse with a much more noticeable hop presence.

Fresh citrus, tropical fruit and gentle banana notes lead the way, with soft wheat, light spice and a little herbal character underneath. The palate is refreshing and aromatic, with the wheat keeping things smooth while the hops bring a firmer, cleaner bitterness through the finish. Camba classifies it as a dry hopped wheat beer, and that extra hop lift is what really sets it apart.

This gives you the familiar softness of Bavarian wheat beer with more freshness, more aroma and a bit more bite. It is a great option if you like Hefeweizen but want something with a more modern, hop driven edge.

About The Brewery

Camba Bavaria is based in Seeon in Bavaria and has built a reputation for combining traditional German brewing with a more modern craft approach.

Jager Weisse is a good example of that crossover. It uses wheat, Pilsner and Munich malts with Bavarian wheat beer yeast, then adds Simcoe, Hersbrucker, Tradition and Chinook hops for extra fruit, aroma and bitterness. At 29 IBU, it is noticeably hoppier than a classic Weissbier while still keeping the soft, refreshing feel of the style.

It is basically Bavarian wheat beer after discovering dry hopping. Traditional enough to make sense, modern enough to keep things interesting.
