Heathcote Sangiovese with dark cherry, raspberry lift, cherry spice and a firm, Tuscan leaning finish.

Vinea Marson Sangiovese 2021 is a single vineyard expression from Heathcote’s eastern slopes of the Mt Camel Range, shaped by a cooler vintage and the region’s ancient Cambrian soils. It opens with restrained perfume, then builds into a dense core of cherry and redcurrant fruit, finishing dry, firm and classically varietal.

Tasting Notes

Aroma: Dark cherries, bright raspberries and cherry spice, with savoury notes (vanilla bean, nutmeg, dried herbs).

Palate: Powerful and plush with ripe red cherry, dark cherry and redcurrant; balanced acidity and refined tannins.

Finish: Firm, dry and persistent with a lightly savoury Heathcote “sweet earth”/mineral feel.

Food Pairing / Serving Suggestions

Ideal alongside pappardelle ragu, pizza, tomato based pasta, grilled sausages, roast lamb, or aged pecorino.

Vinea Marson is a family owned Heathcote estate established in 1999 on the eastern slopes of the Mt Camel Range, planting shiraz and viognier alongside Italian varieties including sangiovese, nebbiolo, barbera and refosco.

Built with structure for short to mid term ageing, drink 2024 to 2032.
