Alles Klar Frog In A Blender Chilled Red 2024 is exactly the sort of wine that makes a strong case for putting red wine in the fridge.

Made from Lambrusco and old vine Mataro, it is bright, juicy and full of dark cherry, plum and red berry fruit, with dried oregano, pepper and a gentle savoury edge underneath. The palate is light on its feet, with lively acidity and silky tannins keeping everything fresh and dangerously easy to drink.

About The Winery

Alles Klar is the project of winemaker Ollie Johns, working with fruit from South Australia's Riverland and Barmera areas.

The wines are made in a relaxed, minimal intervention style, with a strong focus on alternative varieties, sustainable vineyard sources and bright, natural fruit expression. Frog In A Blender brings together lively young Lambrusco and old vine Mataro, with fermentation in stainless steel and a little time in older oak to soften and round everything out.

The name may suggest someone has lost control of the kitchen appliances, but the wine itself is far more composed. Chill it down, pour generously and do not overthink it.
