Down The Rabbit Hole “Matro” 2023 is a beautifully lifted, modern Australian red, bright, expressive and effortlessly drinkable. Crafted by Elise Cook and Domenic Palumbo, Matro blends Mediterranean varieties (typically Mataro-led with supporting grapes like Grenache/Tempranillo depending on vintage) into a silky, fruit-forward wine full of personality. If you love reds that are smooth, savoury and made for good company, this is your new favourite DTRH release.

Tasting Notes

Aroma: Red cherry, raspberry, plum and rose petal with hints of spice, earth and dried herbs.
Palate: Medium-bodied and beautifully textured, showing juicy red berries, gentle savoury spice and fine, silky tannins.
Finish: Smooth, vibrant and moreish with lingering cherry and subtle Mediterranean herbs.

Food Pairing / Serving Suggestions

Perfect with pizza, tapas, BBQ chicken, lamb kofta, Mediterranean salads, grilled veggies or charcuterie. Serve at 15–17°C.
