About The Wine

Commune of Buttons Sable Syrah Grenache 2024 is a beautifully expressive red built from old vines in Blewitt Springs. Made from roughly 60% Syrah and 40% Grenache, it captures the lighter, more perfumed side of McLaren Vale, with a gentle frame, natural energy and plenty of drink now charm. The sandy soils give the wine a graceful texture and fine tannin profile, while the fruit stays fresh, lifted and vibrant.

Tasting Notes

Aroma: Plum, violet, red berries and a subtle peppery lift.

Palate: Medium bodied and finely balanced, with bright red fruit, a soft juicy core and a light, flowing structure.

Finish: Fresh and persistent, with fine sandy tannins and a long line of natural acidity.

Serving Suggestions

A great match for chargrilled lamb, roast chicken, pork cutlets, mushroom dishes or charcuterie.

Sable comes from Blewitt Springs, a prized part of McLaren Vale renowned for deep sandy soils and old vine Grenache and Shiraz. That site character shows clearly here, giving the wine fragrance, finesse and a beautifully natural flow.
