Cullen Diana Madeline 2019 is one of Australia’s most iconic Cabernet blends from the heart of Margaret River. Named in honour of winery founder Diana Madeline Cullen, this flagship wine reflects Cullen’s unwavering commitment to sustainability, minimal intervention, and vineyard expression.

The 2019 vintage is a stunning example of finesse and structure, with fruit sourced from Cullen’s certified biodynamic estate vineyards. The blend, predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, and Petit Verdot, was matured in fine French oak and bottled without fining or filtration, allowing the wine’s natural vibrancy and complexity to shine. Pair with roast lamb, duck breast, mushroom ragù, or aged cheeses. Decant before serving at 16–18°C for full aromatic expression.

87% Cabernet sauvignon, with 7/3/2/1% merlot/cabernet franc/malbec/petit verdot. Matured for 15 months in barrique, 45% new. Cassis and red licorice on the nose, bay and saltbush, too. The palate is salty and fine with layers upon layers of spice and texture. The tannins are like finely textured gills, stacked as delicately as the folds in a mushroom. The length of flavour unfurls and extends across the palate, taking so long to fade that this entire tasting note is possible off one sip. The rest are just for pleasure.
