Taltarni Estate Pyrenees Shiraz 2022 is a rich and beautifully balanced Victorian Shiraz from one of the founding wineries of the Pyrenees region. Deep red with a violet hue, it shows the dark fruit, spice and savoury structure that make Pyrenees Shiraz so appealing.

The 2022 vintage brings black fruit, pepper, spice and earthy notes, with subtle oak flavours adding depth and polish. The palate is full flavoured and smooth, supported by persistent dusty tannins and a chocolate tinged finish.

About The Winery

Taltarni is one of the pioneering wineries of Victoria’s Pyrenees region, with vineyard history reaching back to 1969 and its first commercial wines released in the late 1970s. The name Taltarni is closely linked to the rugged hills, iron rich red soils and wide open landscapes around Avoca, where the estate helped revive serious wine growing in the region.

The Pyrenees sits at the western edge of the Great Dividing Range in Victoria. It is known for warm days, cool nights and elevated vineyard sites that can produce red wines with ripe fruit, structure, spice and freshness. Shiraz from the region often shows dark berries, pepper, savoury earth and firm but polished tannins.
