St Andrews Beach Brewery X Hawkes Farm Homegrown Harvest Lager is about as local as beer gets.

Brewed entirely with malt and hops grown on the Mornington Peninsula, it pours a pale straw colour with fresh bread, soft cereal grain and gentle herbal notes up front. A little citrus comes through underneath, while the palate stays crisp, clean and refreshing with a snappy bitter finish.

If you like straightforward lager but still want a bit of a story behind the can. The ingredients are local, the style is classic and the whole thing feels properly connected to where it was made.

Tasting Notes

Aroma: Fresh bread, soft grain, herbal hops and subtle citrus.

Palate: Clean and light bodied with pale malt, dry cracker and restrained bitterness.

About The Brewery

St Andrews Beach Brewery is based in Fingal on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula, operating from a former racehorse training property that has become a big part of the brewery’s identity.

For this Homegrown Harvest Lager, the brewery teamed up with Hawkes Farm, a six generation family operation based nearby. The beer uses Pale Malt grown in collaboration with Hawkes Farm and Cluster hops grown by St Andrews Beach Brewery itself.

The result is a genuinely local lager with a simple idea behind it: grow the ingredients close to home, brew them properly and let the beer speak for itself.

That is a pretty good philosophy for lager, and life in general.
