Soumah’s 2022 Nebbiolo captures everything we love about this noble Piedmontese variety with lifted aromatics, fine tannins, and savoury complexity but with a distinctly cool climate Yarra Valley accent. It’s elegant rather than heavy, aromatic rather than bold, and superbly balanced. If you enjoy Nebbiolo that’s fragrant, refined and built for both food and cellaring, this is a must try Australian interpretation.

Tasting Notes

Aroma: Rose petal, cherry, redcurrant and dried herbs with hints of earthy spice and orange peel.
Palate: Medium-bodied with vibrant red fruits, subtle savoury notes and beautifully integrated acidity.
Finish: Long, fine and structured with classic Nebbiolo tannins and lingering floral freshness.

Food Pairing / Serving Suggestions

A natural match for mushroom risotto, duck, truffle dishes, slow-braised meats, hard cheeses and tomato-based pasta. Serve at 16–18°C.
