Soumah Orchards Vineyard Pinot Grigio 2026 brings a little northern Italian charm to the Yarra Valley, and the result is a fresh, beautifully balanced white with plenty of personality.

Green apple, ripe pear and honeydew melon lead the way, with citrus peel, delicate florals and a subtle herbal lift adding interest. The palate is dry and refreshing, but there is also a lovely soft texture through the middle, giving the wine a little more substance than your average Pinot Grigio. Bright natural acidity keeps everything lively, with a clean, gently savoury finish.

This is Pinot Grigio with a bit more going on than simply being cold and easy to drink. Although, thankfully, it does both of those things very well.

About The Winery

Soumah is a Yarra Valley winery based in Gruyere, with a strong passion for the wines and varieties of northern Italy. The name stands for South of Maroondah, a reference to the estate's location in the beautiful Warramate foothills.

While the Yarra Valley is best known for Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, Soumah has taken a slightly different approach, exploring Italian varieties including Pinot Grigio, Nebbiolo, Brachetto, Marzemino and Savarro. The region's warm days, cool nights and long growing season provide excellent conditions for producing wines with freshness, balance and distinctive regional character.

Pinot Grigio is a particularly good fit. Soumah takes inspiration from the crisp, elegant wines of northern Italy, while allowing the Yarra Valley fruit to bring a little extra texture and generosity.
