Sons of Eden Marschall Shiraz 2024 is a bold and generous Barossa Valley Shiraz with all the depth, richness and polish this region does so well. Deep garnet in colour, it shows a vibrant mix of red liquorice and spiced plum, followed by a rich, rounded palate and seamless velvety tannins. It is delicious on release, yet has the structure to mature beautifully over the medium to longer term.

The 2024 release is made from Shiraz sourced across several Barossa Valley sites, including Tanunda, Light Pass, Ebenezer, Trial Hill and Gomersal. This gives the wine both aromatic lift and deep fruit concentration, with classic Barossa generosity supported by structure, spice and length.

Aroma: Red liquorice, spiced plum, blackberry, dark cherry, violet, sweet spice and subtle oak.

Palate: Rich and rounded with intense red and dark berry fruit, plum, liquorice, spice, soft oak and velvety tannins.

About The Winery

Sons of Eden was established in 2000 by Corey Ryan and Simon Cowham, two Barossa specialists with deep experience across winemaking and viticulture. Their focus is on crafting small batch wines from distinctive vineyard sites across the Barossa, with fruit sourced from 30 unique vineyard sites and handled with a minimal intervention approach in the winery.

The Marschall range sits within the Sons of Eden Tribute wines, celebrating the pioneers, growers and characters who helped shape the Barossa. Marschall Shiraz honours the legendary Barossa Valley vignerons who planted and nurtured the old treasured vineyards the region is known for today. David Marschall was a respected grower and a memorable local figure, with vineyards in Tanunda and Ebenezer forming the backbone of this wine.

Barossa Valley Shiraz is loved for its ripe dark fruit, plush texture, spice and age worthy structure. In this wine, Tanunda brings aromatic Shiraz character from sandy soils, while Ebenezer adds a denser fruit core and more structured tannin profile from its iron rich soils.

Cellaring Potential

Optimum cellaring year for the 2024 Marschall Shiraz as 2031. It can be enjoyed now for its rich fruit and soft tannins, or cellared under good conditions to gain more savoury spice, leather, earth and dark chocolate complexity.
