Silent Way Pinot Noir 2024 is a polished cool climate Pinot Noir with plenty of depth and character. The 2024 release shows a slightly richer, more powerful profile than some lighter expressions of the variety, while still keeping the freshness, perfume and fine structure that Pinot lovers look for. It is expressive, supple and very easy to enjoy now, with enough concentration to reward a few years in the cellar.

Tasting Notes

Aroma: Dark cherry, red and black fruits, plum, gentle spice and a subtle savoury lift.

Palate: Medium bodied and fresh, with ripe cherry, pomegranate, cassis and poached plum notes carried by fine tannins and bright acidity.

Finish: Smooth, persistent and structured, with lingering spice, juicy fruit and a neatly framed savoury edge.

Serving Suggestions

A great match for duck, roast chicken, mushroom dishes, grilled salmon or charcuterie. Serve slightly cool to bring out the freshness and detail in the fruit.

About the Winery / Producer / Region

Silent Way is the label of winemaker Matt Harrop, with Pinot Noir drawn from the Quarry Ridge Vineyard near Kilmore, just outside the Macedon GI boundary, with the 2024 vintage also including fruit from Silvan in the Yarra Valley after spring frost reduced yields in Macedon. The result is a distinctly Victorian Pinot Noir that balances cool climate brightness with generous fruit and fine structure.

Cellaring Potential

Drinking beautifully now, but this vintage should reward around 5 years in the cellar, with the fruit and savoury detail expected to become more integrated over time.
