“Fresh Calabrian Greco Bianco with pear, peach, citrus and a crisp mineral finish.”

Scala Cirò Bianco 2025 is a fresh, bright southern Italian white made from Greco Bianco in Calabria’s Cirò region.

Yellow pear, white peach and citrus lead the way, with white flowers, honeydew and a clean mineral edge underneath. The palate is dry, lively and refreshing, with enough texture to give the wine some character without losing its easy drinking feel.

This is a great choice if you enjoy crisp Italian whites but want to move beyond the usual Pinot Grigio. There is plenty of freshness here, but also a little more flavour and coastal character, which makes it especially good with seafood.

Tasting Notes

Aroma: Yellow pear, white peach, citrus and delicate white flowers.

Palate: Dry and fresh with pear, peach, honeydew and clean citrus, backed by a subtle mineral note.

Finish: Crisp and refreshing with lingering citrus, light salinity and a refined dry finish.

Serving Suggestions

A natural match with grilled fish, prawns, calamari, shellfish and seafood pasta.

It also works well with antipasti, fresh salads and lighter vegetable dishes, where the bright acidity and subtle mineral character keep everything fresh.

About The Winery

Scala is a family producer based in Calabria, in the far south of Italy, where the warm Mediterranean climate and proximity to the Ionian coast give the wines plenty of regional personality.

Cirò is one of Calabria’s best known wine areas, and Greco Bianco is one of the region’s key white varieties. Scala’s version is organic and focuses on freshness, fruit and that clean coastal character that makes southern Italian whites so appealing.

It is exactly the sort of wine that reminds you southern Italy has a lot more going on than big reds and holiday postcards.
