Saint Clair Sauvignon Blanc 2023 is a vibrant, unmistakably Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc with plenty of tropical fruit, fresh citrus and that bright herbal edge the region does so well.

Passionfruit, grapefruit and green apple lead the way, with blackcurrant, white stone fruit, capsicum and a subtle jalapeño note adding extra lift. The palate is fresh and generous, with crisp acidity and a salty mineral character carrying everything through to a clean, refreshing finish.

This gives you classic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc character in a very handy 375ml bottle. It is perfect when you only want a couple of glasses, and you still get the same bright fruit, freshness and regional character as the full size bottle.

About The Winery

Saint Clair Family Estate is a family owned Marlborough producer founded by Neal and Judy Ibbotson, who were among the region’s early vineyard pioneers before producing their first Saint Clair wines in 1994.

The 2023 Sauvignon Blanc is sourced predominantly from vineyards in the lower Wairau Valley, an area Saint Clair values for producing particularly expressive Sauvignon Blanc with intense aromatics and bright fruit.

It is a classic Marlborough style: plenty of passionfruit and citrus, a little green herbal character and enough minerality to keep the finish sharp and refreshing. In the half bottle, it is also rather convenient for those occasions when opening 750ml feels optimistic.

Cellaring Potential

Saint Clair Sauvignon Blanc 2023 is drinking beautifully now and is best enjoyed while its tropical fruit and freshness are still bright.
