Rieslingfreak No. 3 Clare Valley Riesling 2026 is a beautifully generous style of Clare Riesling, with loads of citrus and ripe fruit but still plenty of freshness. It comes from the Hughes family vineyard at White Hutt, just north of Clare, a site known for producing Riesling with a little more weight and richness through the palate.

Meyer lemon, tangelo and fresh nectarine lead the way, followed by pink grapefruit, rockmelon, guava and papaya. There is plenty of flavour here, but a tight line of crisp acidity keeps everything bright and balanced. The finish is long, zesty and refreshing, making this a really easy Riesling to enjoy now.

Each wine in the Rieslingfreak range is given a number that helps identify its origin and style. No. 3 is the Clare Valley expression, sourced primarily from the family vineyard at White Hutt. Its heavy red clay soils are known for producing a richer, more generous style of Riesling while still retaining the freshness and acidity Clare Valley is famous for.

The 2026 vintage has produced wines with excellent purity and elegance, and this No. 3 is a great example. It has plenty of fruit and generosity, but it never loses that crisp, refreshing Riesling character.

Rieslingfreak No. 3 Clare Valley Riesling 2026 is drinking beautifully now while the citrus and tropical fruit are fresh and vibrant. Its bright acidity should also see it develop very well over the next eight to ten years under good storage conditions.
