“Crisp alcohol free Bavarian Helles with soft malt, fresh grain and balanced bitterness.”

Riegele Hell Alkoholfrei is a proper Bavarian style lager for anyone wanting the flavour and refreshment of beer without the alcohol.

Fresh grain and soft malt lead the way, with gentle herbal hops and a clean bitterness keeping everything crisp. The palate is light, balanced and refreshing, with enough character to avoid tasting thin or overly sweet.

This is a very easy choice for those who want an alcohol free lager that still feels like a real beer. Clean, golden and straightforward, exactly as a Helles should be.

"The non alcoholic beer full of character, thanks to our own cuvée brewing process, in which the Riegele brewers combine two brews to create a perfect non-alcoholic beer." Riegele

Tasting Notes

Aroma: Fresh grain, soft malt and gentle herbal hops.

Palate: Light and clean with cereal malt, mild sweetness and balanced bitterness.

Finish: Crisp and refreshing with lingering grain and a gentle hoppy edge.

About The Brewery

Brauhaus Riegele is based in Augsburg, Bavaria, with brewing roots dating back to 1386. The brewery remains one of the region’s best known traditional producers, with a range covering everything from Helles and Pils through to wheat beer and stronger specialty releases.

Riegele Hell Alkoholfrei is brewed to retain the clean malt and hop balance of a traditional Helles while offering an alcohol free alternative. Riegele describes it as refreshing and isotonic, with a golden bright appearance and a bitterness rating of 5 out of 10.

It also picked up a Bronze Medal at the 2025 European Beer Star, which is a pretty good endorsement for a beer that has taken the alcohol out but kept the character in.

Serving Suggestions

A great match with schnitzel, sausages, grilled chicken, salads and lighter German style dishes.

It also works well as an easy everyday beer when you want something crisp and refreshing without the alcohol.
