Redbreast 12 Year Old Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey is one of those whiskies that has earned its reputation the old fashioned way, by being consistently excellent.

Made from a mix of malted and unmalted barley, then triple distilled in copper pot stills, it has a richer, oilier texture than many lighter Irish whiskies. Matured for 12 years in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks, it brings together ripe orchard fruit, dried fruit, warm spice and toasted oak without any one part taking over.

Redbreast 12 is one of the benchmark examples of Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey. It is complex enough for someone who takes whisky seriously, but smooth enough that you do not need a tasting notebook and fifteen minutes of silence before having a second sip.

About The Distillery

Redbreast is made at Midleton Distillery in County Cork and is one of the great names in traditional Irish whiskey. The style is known as Single Pot Still, meaning the whiskey is made from both malted and unmalted barley and distilled in copper pot stills.

Redbreast 12 is the signature bottle in the range and has been matured in both bourbon and sherry casks since the brand was relaunched by Irish Distillers in 1991. That combination gives it the fruit and spice of classic Irish pot still whiskey, along with the richer dried fruit and nutty character that comes from sherry wood.
