Pyramid Valley North Canterbury Pinot Noir 2023 is a beautifully expressive New Zealand Pinot Noir with freshness, savoury detail and plenty of charm. It has bright red fruit, gentle florals and that earthy, herbal edge that makes North Canterbury Pinot so interesting.

The 2023 vintage shows red berries, wild herbs, forest floor, mocha and savoury spice, with a fine chalky texture and juicy acidity. It feels fresh and lively, but still has enough depth and structure to make it a really satisfying glass.

Tasting Notes

Aroma: Red berries, wild herbs, forest floor, soft florals, mocha and gentle savoury spice.

Palate: Light to medium bodied with bright red fruit, juicy acidity, fine compact tannins and earthy savoury depth.

Finish: Long and fresh with lingering red fruit, herbs, spice and a mineral driven dry finish.

Pyramid Valley is one of New Zealand’s most respected wine producers, based in Waikari, North Canterbury. The winery is known for expressive Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, with wines that show freshness, texture and a strong sense of place.

North Canterbury is a special region for Pinot Noir. The cooler climate, limestone influenced soils and long growing season help create wines with perfume, bright acidity and fine tannin structure.

This 2023 release captures that regional style beautifully. It is savoury, fresh and detailed, with enough fruit to enjoy now and enough structure to develop further in bottle.
