Pennyweight Constance Fino is a beautifully dry, delicate Australian fino style apera from Beechworth. Light, savoury and refreshingly crisp, it shows the classic flor-aged character of fine fino, green apple, almond, saline freshness and a gentle yeasty complexity.

This is a brilliant aperitif style fortified wine for those who enjoy dry sherry styles, lighter savoury wines or something a little more traditional and distinctive. Pennyweight notes Constance Fino is aged for an average of three years in solera, giving it freshness, subtle complexity and a clean, delicate finish.

Pennyweight is a small traditional Beechworth winery run by the Morris family, with deep roots in Australian fortified wine. The estate works with certified organic and biodynamic dryland vineyards across Beechworth and Rutherglen, producing table wines and traditional apera styles with a strong focus on estate grown fruit and careful ageing. 

Constance Fino is named after Constance Morris, Fred Morris’ grandmother, whose passion for fino style sherry inspired the wine. Beechworth’s cool nights, granite influenced soils and long winegrowing history give Pennyweight’s wines freshness, structure and a distinctly regional Victorian character.
