Onannon Pinot Noir 2025 is a vibrant and expressive Mornington Peninsula red filled with red cherry, blue fruit and fragrant spice. Notes of Turkish delight, mint and savoury twigs add complexity, while supple tannins and mouth watering acidity keep the wine fresh and highly drinkable.

The wine brings together Pinot Noir from seven vineyards across Tuerong, Main Ridge, Shoreham, Red Hill, Merricks and Flinders. Seven different clones contribute to the blend, creating a detailed regional expression rather than a wine shaped by one individual site.

Mornington Peninsula is shaped by its maritime position, varied elevations and numerous small vineyard areas. The blend draws from several recognised parts of the peninsula, capturing both the freshness of cooler elevated sites and the fruit generosity of warmer northern vineyards.

Working across multiple sites gives Onannon access to different aspects, soils and microclimates. This allows the final wine to combine fragrance, red fruit, savoury detail, fine tannins and natural acidity.

About Onannon

Onannon was established in 2008 and is now based on the Mornington Peninsula. The winery works with carefully selected vineyards across the region, aiming to produce wines with purity, balance and a clear connection to place.

The name Onannon was formed using the final letters of the surnames of original founders Sam Middleton, Kaspar Hermann and Will Byron. The project grew from their shared winemaking background and interest in Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

Cellaring Potential

Delicious now for its vibrant fruit, supple tannins and fresh acidity. It may also be cellared for three to five years, developing greater savoury and earthy complexity.
