Nikka Miyagikyo Single Malt Japanese Whisky - a distinguished Japanese whisky crafted at the Miyagikyo Distillery in Sendai. Established in 1969 by Masataka Taketsuru, the father of Japanese whisky, this distillery was chosen for its serene location amidst lush forests and pure waters, aiming to produce a softer and more delicate whisky compared to its counterpart, Yoichi.
This non-age statement single malt is distilled using a combination of lightly peated and unpeated malted barley, employing pot stills heated by indirect steam to achieve a gentle and fruity character. Matured in a blend of ex-sherry and ex-bourbon casks, it offers a harmonious balance of flavors.
Ideal for both connoisseurs and those new to Japanese whisky, Nikka Miyagikyo Single Malt is perfect for sipping neat or enjoying in a highball. Its elegant profile makes it a versatile choice for various occasions.
Tasting Notes
