Mountain Monk Brewers Cold IPA is a crisp Cold IPA with melon, lime, coconut and bright tangerine hop character. It combines the clean freshness of a lager with the expressive aroma and bitterness of an IPA, creating a beer that feels lively, refreshing and full of flavour.

The palate is bright and smooth, with tropical fruit and citrus carried by a clean malt base. A dry finish keeps the beer refreshing and balanced, making it a great choice for those who enjoy hop driven beer but prefer a cleaner and crisper style than a hazy IPA.

About The Brewery, History And Region

Mountain Monk Brewers is an independent, family owned and veteran owned brewery based in Mount Beauty in Victoria’s High Country. The business began in 2017 when family members took over the former Mount Beauty Workman’s Club and gave the local venue a new life.

A brewery was added to the site in 2022, allowing the team to create beer using the clean water and regional ingredients of the Victorian High Country. Mountain Monk Brewers now produces a broad range of beers from its Mount Beauty brewery and taproom.

The brewery takes inspiration from the European tradition of monks brewing beer and offering hospitality to travellers and their local communities. This old world philosophy is paired with a modern Australian approach to craft beer, creating a range that reflects both the alpine location and the brewery’s independent character.

Mount Beauty sits beneath Mount Bogong and is surrounded by mountains, rivers and alpine scenery. The region’s clean water and cool climate help shape the brewery’s identity and give its beers a strong connection to the Victorian High Country.
