Morris Classic Tawny Port is a classic Australian fortified wine from Rutherglen, one of the country’s great homes of rich, mature and beautifully blended tawny styles. It shows medium depth tawny colour with red hues, ripe fruit, nutty complexity and gentle wood aged character. The palate is full flavoured yet elegant, finishing with a dry spirit warmth.

About The Winery

Morris of Rutherglen is one of Australia’s most important fortified wine producers, with a family history dating back to 1859. Founder George Morris first planted vines near Rutherglen in North East Victoria, beginning a family legacy that has helped shape the reputation of Australian fortified wine.

Rutherglen is world famous for its fortified wines, especially rich Muscat, Topaque and Tawny styles. The region’s warm climate helps grapes ripen fully, building deep fruit flavour and concentration. Long ageing in barrel adds layers of nuts, caramel, spice and mellow oak complexity.

Today, Morris continues under the guidance of Madden Morris, sixth generation winemaker. The fortified range is built around careful blending, where younger parcels bring freshness and fruit, while older barrel aged components add richness, depth and savoury complexity. Cellaring Potential

Morris Liqueur Tawny Port is ready to enjoy now. It is already matured and does not need further cellaring, although unopened bottles can be kept in a cool, dark place. Once opened, reseal and store in the fridge to preserve freshness.
