About The Wine

Mada Pétillant Naturel 2025 is a fresh, playful and lightly sparkling Australian Pét Nat made from Nebbiolo grown in Wombat, near Young in New South Wales. Bright, textural and full of energy, it sits in that fun rosé style sparkling space with red berry fruit, floral lift and a refreshing sea breeze edge.

Made using the Pétillant Naturel method, the wine finishes fermentation in bottle, creating natural bubbles and a lively, slightly rustic charm. This is a brilliant bottle for those who enjoy natural leaning sparkling wines with freshness, personality and a little bit of wild character.

Tasting Notes

Aroma: Strawberry crush, rosewater, red berries, citrus zest and a light floral lift.

Palate: Bright and energetic, with juicy strawberry, cranberry, subtle savoury Nebbiolo grip and refreshing natural bubbles.

Finish: Crisp and moreish, with lingering red fruit, sea-breeze freshness and delicate floral notes.

About the Winery / Producer / Region

Mada Wines is a small Australian producer led by Hamish Young, known for expressive, modern wines made with a light touch and plenty of personality. The range often highlights fruit from Canberra District, Hilltops and surrounding New South Wales regions, with a focus on freshness, texture and drinkability.

The 2025 Pétillant Naturel is made from Nebbiolo grown by the Mullany Family in Wombat, near Young, New South Wales. The vineyard was planted in 1996 on ancient red sands, shale and granite, giving the wine brightness, mineral detail and gentle savoury structure. The fruit is gently extracted before fermentation in steel, then settled under refrigeration before bottling to complete fermentation naturally.
