Lark Ruby Abyss No.285 Single Malt Whisky is a deeply layered limited release Tasmanian whisky built around richness, texture and indulgence. Bottled at 43.8% ABV, it is matured in first fill vintage Port and Sherry casks, including a century old Australian Port reserve, giving the whisky remarkable depth and a plush, flavour forward style. Delicate Tasmanian peat smoke adds another dimension, bringing a gentle savoury edge to the richer fruit and cask notes. 

Tasting Notes

Aroma: Dark fruits, caramelised brown sugar and soft oak warmth.

Palate: Silky and richly flavoured, with mocha, dark fruit, toffee-like sweetness and warming spice.

Finish: Long and indulgent, with brandy snap sweetness, gentle peat smoke and lingering cask richness.

Cask Influence: First-fill vintage Port and Sherry casks, including a 100 year old Australian Port reserve

Serving Suggestions

Best enjoyed neat, with a few drops of water, or over a large cube if you want to soften the richer cask influence and bring more of the fruit and mocha character forward.
