About The Brewery And Region

La Sirène Brewing was founded in Melbourne in 2010 by winemaker turned brewer Costa Nikias. Inspired by the rustic farmhouse ales of Wallonia in southern Belgium, the brewery set out to create expressive Australian beers shaped by local ingredients, natural fermentation and a strong sense of place.

La Sirène began beside the Darebin Parklands in Alphington before moving to Reservoir in 2023. The brewery has become one of Australia’s leading names in wild and farmhouse ale, known for beers that are creative, complex and still highly drinkable.

Its winemaking roots continue to influence the range, particularly through a focus on texture, acidity, fruit and balance. Chriso Lemon reflects that philosophy beautifully, using lemons grown in the local Reservoir area to create a golden ale connected to the brewery’s northern Melbourne home.
