Konpira Maru’s Whitlands Pétillant Naturel is made from high elevation Whitlands (King Valley/Victorian Alps) fruit, picked over multiple weeks and whole bunch pressed, then bottle fermented and hand disgorged for that cloudy, crunchy, natural sparkling vibe. 

Tasting Notes

Aroma: Nasturtium flowers, cantaloupe, and a savoury hint of butternut pumpkin.
Palate: White peach, green tea, honeysuckle and goji berry fresh, playful and wonderfully offbeat. 
Finish: Bright, dry and lively with pét nat fizz and a refreshing, mouth watering close.

About the Winery / Producer / Region

Konpira Maru is a natural leaning, small batch Australian project sourcing (and increasingly growing) fruit along the Great Dividing Range, leaning into characterful sites and experimental varieties with a light touch in the winery.  “Whitlands” refers to a cool climate, high elevation pocket in Victoria’s alpine north (King Valley area), which suits pét nat beautifully, bright acidity, aromatic lift, and loads of freshness.

Pét-nat is best for early enjoyment. Drink 2026 - 2027 for peak zing, freshness and fizz.

Limited Release / Seasonal Note

Made as a hands on, small run pét-nat (bottle fermented and hand disgorged), so it tends to disappear quickly when it lands.
