Jasper Hill Georgia’s Paddock Shiraz 2014 is a mature release from one of Heathcote’s most important single vineyard sites. Georgia’s Paddock is the flagship Shiraz from Jasper Hill, known for its depth, structure, regional character and long ageing potential.

With bottle age now adding savoury complexity, the 2014 shows the richness of Heathcote Shiraz alongside evolved notes of spice, earth, dark fruit and polished tannin. This is a serious Australian Shiraz for those who appreciate powerful reds with maturity, detail and cellar history.

Aroma: Dark plum, blackberry, raspberry, liquorice, earth, leather, spice and savoury oak.

Palate: Full bodied and layered, with dark berry fruit, red earth, dried herbs, spice and softened mature tannins.

Finish: Long and persistent, with lingering dark fruit, savoury complexity, fine structure and classic Heathcote depth.

About the Winery / Producer / Region

Jasper Hill is one of Heathcote’s landmark family owned wineries, established by Ron and Elva Laughton in the 1970s. The estate helped define Heathcote as one of Australia’s great Shiraz regions, with Georgia’s Paddock standing as its most recognised vineyard and one of the country’s benchmark single vineyard Shiraz wines.

The original Georgia’s Paddock Shiraz vines were planted in 1975, with later plantings added in 1987. The vineyard is dry grown and farmed with a strong focus on soil health, low yields and site expression. Heathcote’s ancient Cambrian soils, warm days and cool nights give Shiraz deep colour, powerful fruit, mineral structure and excellent cellaring ability.

Cellaring Potential

The 2014 is now entering a mature drinking window. Enjoy now with careful decanting, or cellar for a further 5 to 8 years if stored in excellent conditions.
