About The Wine

J de Villebois Val de Loire Chenin Blanc 2024 is a bright, expressive French white with the freshness and charm the Loire Valley does so well. Made from Chenin Blanc, it brings together orchard fruit, citrus zest, floral notes and a fine mineral edge in a crisp, medium bodied style.

The 2024 vintage is fresh and lively, showing green apple, pear, peach and a gentle honeysuckle lift. It is a lovely choice for those who enjoy white wines with texture, freshness and a clean, refreshing finish.

Tasting Notes

Aroma: Green apple, pear, white flowers, peach, citrus zest and light honeyed notes.

Palate: Fresh and medium bodied with orchard fruit, bright acidity, soft texture and subtle stony minerality.

Finish: Crisp and refreshing with lingering pear, citrus and a gentle floral lift.

Serving Suggestions

About The Producer

J de Villebois is a Loire Valley producer with a strong focus on expressive, elegant French wines that highlight freshness, purity and varietal character. The story began in 2004, when Joost and Miguela de Willebois purchased Domaine La Chardoisie in Mareuil sur Cher, in the heart of Touraine. From there, the range grew from an initial Val de Loire Sauvignon Blanc into a broader collection celebrating the Loire Valley’s diverse vineyards and classic grape varieties.

Although J de Villebois is especially recognised for Sauvignon Blanc, the estate also works beautifully with other Loire varieties, including Chenin Blanc and Pinot Noir. The Loire Valley itself has a long winemaking history and is one of France’s most important regions for crisp white wines, elegant reds, sparkling wines and aromatic styles. Chenin Blanc is one of the Loire’s signature white grapes, known for its natural acidity, orchard fruit character, mineral detail and ability to produce wines ranging from dry and refreshing to rich and age worthy.

J de Villebois reflects the modern side of Loire winemaking: clean, bright, approachable wines with a real sense of French regional character. Their Val de Loire Chenin Blanc captures this style beautifully, offering freshness, texture and classic Loire charm in a polished everyday white.
