Innocent Bystander Pinot Noir 2024 is bright, juicy and very easy to like. Red cherry sits alongside blueberry and boysenberry, with earthy dried spice and a little cola adding extra interest. The fruit is generous, but the wine still feels fresh and light on its feet.

The palate is smooth and plush, with soft silky tannins and enough savoury character to stop it feeling too fruity. It is the sort of Pinot that works just as well for a casual glass as it does when you want something polished without spending a fortune.

Tasting Notes

Aroma: Blueberry, boysenberry, red cherry and earthy dried spice.

Palate: Plush red cherry with hints of cola, gentle spice and soft silky tannins.

Finish: Smooth and fresh with lingering red berries, spice and a light savoury edge.

The 2024 Pinot Noir is a great example of the style. There is plenty of bright fruit and perfume, but also enough spice and savoury detail to give it a bit more personality. It is relaxed, dependable and exactly the sort of Pinot you can happily keep a few bottles of on hand.

Cellaring Potential

Innocent Bystander Pinot Noir 2024 is drinking beautifully now while the fruit is fresh and vibrant. It should also continue to drink well over the next three to five years under good storage conditions.
