The Hugo Spritz was created in northern Italy as a lighter alternative to the Aperol Spritz, built around elderflower, sparkling wine, soda and mint. About The Hugo Spritz

The Hugo Spritz originated in South Tyrol, Italy, in 2005 and has since become one of Europe’s favourite alternatives to the traditional Aperol Spritz. The classic combination is elderflower, Prosecco, soda and fresh mint, creating a drink that is more floral, softer and less bitter than its orange coloured cousin.

In a 200ml can, the appeal is fairly obvious. It is a single serve spritz ready when you are, without requiring a cocktail trolley, five ingredients or somebody volunteering to wash the glassware afterwards.
