Holm Oak Pinot Noir Chardonnay NV is a beautifully balanced Tasmanian sparkling with plenty of freshness, but also enough texture and complexity to make it feel special. Made from estate grown Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, it has bright fruit, fine bubbles and a lovely creamy feel through the palate.

Red apple and citrus lead the way, with subtle nutty notes and a gentle savoury character underneath. The Pinot Noir gives the wine fruit and depth, while Chardonnay brings freshness and minerality. It is polished, refreshing and very easy to enjoy, whether you are opening a bottle for a celebration or simply because you feel like good sparkling.

Wine Pilot - 92 Points

Tassie, of course, is ideally suited to making sparkling wine. And this one is a quite beautiful, delicate, and finely crafted wine. It’s about 56% Pinot Noir and 44% Chardonnay, and was traditionally bottle fermented before a short time on lees prior to disgorgement. It has an aptly light nutty citrus aroma and a palate which suggests richer fruit characters, but delivers them with restrained delicacy and a super fine mousse that completes what is an excellent wine. About The Winery

Holm Oak is a family owned winery in Tasmania’s Tamar Valley, run by winemaker Bec Duffy and viticulturist Tim Duffy. Their wines are made from cool climate Tasmanian fruit, with a strong focus on Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Riesling.

Sparkling wine was a natural progression for Holm Oak, given Tasmania’s reputation for high quality sparkling and the estate’s long history with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Their NV sparkling is traditionally bottle fermented and spends up to 24 months on lees before disgorgement, giving it extra texture and complexity while keeping the wine fresh and lively.

Cellaring Potential

Holm Oak Pinot Noir Chardonnay NV is drinking beautifully now, but it also has the balance and acidity to develop further. Recent reviews suggest a drinking window through to around 2032 to 2033 under good storage conditions.
