Helm Classic Dry Riesling 2025 comes from one of the genuine pioneers of Riesling in the Canberra District, and it is exactly the sort of wine that shows why the region has become so highly regarded for the variety.

Fresh lime and lemon lead the way, with green apple, citrus blossom and subtle floral notes adding lift. The palate is dry, precise and energetic, with bright natural acidity carrying the citrus fruit through to a clean, persistent finish.

This is a great choice if you enjoy Clare or Eden Valley Riesling but want to explore another of Australia's great Riesling regions. It has all the citrus freshness you expect, but with a cool climate mineral character that gives it a personality of its own.

Helm Wines was established by Ken and Judith Helm at Murrumbateman in 1973, making it one of the pioneering wineries of the Canberra District.

Ken Helm has become particularly associated with Riesling and has spent decades championing both the variety and the Canberra District as a serious cool climate wine region. The Classic Dry Riesling sits at the heart of the Helm range, built around freshness, citrus intensity and the ability to develop beautifully with bottle age.

Cellaring Potential

Delicious now for its bright citrus and youthful freshness, but this is a Riesling that should reward patience.

Enjoy young or cellar for around 8 to 10 years, when the fresh lime and lemon characters should begin developing more complex toast, honey and citrus preserve notes.
