About The Producer

Hartshorn Distillery is a boutique Tasmanian distillery based in Birchs Bay, south of Hobart. It was founded by Ryan Hartshorn, whose family is also behind Grandvewe, a pioneering sheep dairy known for producing award winning sheep milk cheeses. Rather than letting leftover whey go to waste, Hartshorn transformed it into something extraordinary, premium vodka and gin distilled from sheep whey.

This innovative approach made Hartshorn the first distillery in the world to create spirits from sheep whey. The result is a truly distinctive Australian spirit style, with a naturally soft mouthfeel and subtle creamy sweetness that reflects its unusual origin.
