A unique, single-clone (clone 110) Riesling. The 2021 release consisted of only 110 bottles. The G in the name honours Georgie, the daughter of Jeffrey Grosset and Stephanie Toole who suggested bottling it separately. The following vintage, with a higher price, is equally impressive with its restrained and delicate nature, but shows great potential. The nose boasts a powerful blend of yeast esters, anise-like spice notes, and a hint of coriander and herb. A quietly intense wine with a dry finish and youthful flavours that will continue to develop in complexity with age. Abundant fruit notes!

This started out as an experiment. The various clones dotting the vineyards are usually blended together but 4 years ago Jeffrey Grosset’s daughter Georgie suggested fermenting each clone separately, to gauge the outcome as standalone wines. On the organically certified Rockwood vineyard, one clone stood out. Grosset calls it exceptional and Georgie the inspiration, hence G110 was born. A new wine and what's it like? Outrageously good. The palate sets it apart as does its savouriness – it's not a fruity clone. It is spicy, with a beeswax note and layered. It has length and line with some phenolic grip, the acidity driving it. Local deliveries are delivered directly by our store. Delivery is usually the same day if order is placed before 11am. Orders placed after 11am will be next day delivery. We do not deliver on Sundays. Orders of only Beer/Cider, Mixers and/or soft drink including slabs will attract a delivery fee and can only be ordered under local deliveries or Click & Collect.
