Fettercairn Warehouse 2 Batch 003 Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a limited Highland release from one of Scotland’s historic distilleries. Distilled in 2015 and matured in Fettercairn’s Warehouse 2, it brings together ex bourbon barrels, rum barrels and French red wine barriques for a layered, expressive and richly flavoured single malt.

Bottled at 50.6% ABV, this is a bold yet beautifully shaped whisky with Fettercairn’s signature tropical house style. Expect ripe mango, honey, brioche, cocoa, blackberry, passionfruit, papaya, sweet spice and a smooth, warming finish.

Tasting Notes

Aroma: Warm honey, ripe mango, brioche, cocoa, blackberry, rose water and sweet oak.

Palate: Rich and full flavoured with passionfruit, papaya, grape sweetness, sugared almond, spiced pastry, heather honey and rounded cask richness.

Finish: Long and smooth with tropical fruit, cocoa, spice, honey and lingering Highland warmth.

About The Distillery

Fettercairn Distillery sits in the foothills of the Cairngorms in the eastern Highlands of Scotland. Founded in 1824 by Sir Alexander Ramsay, it was one of the early licensed distilleries after the 1823 Excise Act helped shape the legal Scotch whisky industry.

The distillery is known for doing things differently. Its unique copper cooling ring drenches the stills with mountain water, cooling the copper so only the lightest vapours rise. This unusual method helps create Fettercairn’s distinctive tropical fruit driven house style.

Warehouse 2 is a special part of the Fettercairn story, used for small batch releases that explore different cask combinations and more characterful expressions of the distillery spirit. Batch 003 brings together bourbon, rum and French red wine cask influence, giving extra layers of fruit, cocoa, spice and sweetness while still keeping the bright Highland character.
