About the Winery / Producer / Region

Eschenhof Holzer is based in Großriedenthal in Austria’s Wagram region and is run by Arnold Holzer. The estate is known for fresh, expressive Austrian wines with a strong focus on Grüner Veltliner, a variety that has become one of Austria’s great wine signatures.

Wagram sits in Lower Austria, west of Vienna, and is especially recognised for its deep loess soils. These fine, wind blown soils were formed over thousands of years and help give Grüner Veltliner its generous fruit, soft texture and distinctive peppery mineral character. The region’s warm days and cool nights allow grapes to ripen with flavour while retaining natural acidity.

Holzer’s Wagram Grüner Veltliner is made in a bright, stainless steel style to preserve freshness, purity and regional expression. It captures what makes the variety so appealing, crisp fruit, gentle spice, clean acidity and an easy, refreshing finish.
