About The Wine

Domaine Georges Noëllat Nuits-Saint-Georges 2018 is a refined Côte de Nuits Pinot Noir with both perfume and structure. The 2018 vintage brings ripe red and dark fruit, gentle spice and earthy savoury detail, carried by the firm yet polished frame that Nuits-Saint-Georges is known for. With several years of bottle age, it is beginning to show added softness and complexity while still retaining freshness and shape.

Tasting Notes

Aroma: Red cherry, dark berries, violet, sweet spice, earth and subtle forest floor.

Palate: Medium bodied and silky, with cherry, plum and wild berry fruit supported by fine tannins and savoury mineral detail.

Finish: Long, structured and elegant, with lingering spice, earthy complexity and a refined Burgundy freshness.

Serving Suggestions

A beautiful match for roast duck, quail, mushroom dishes, pork loin, slow-cooked beef or soft washed rind cheeses. Decant gently if drinking now.

About the Winery / Producer / Region

Domaine Georges Noëllat is a small, highly regarded Burgundy estate based in Vosne Romanée. The domaine is now led by Maxime Cheurlin, who has helped build a strong following for elegant, aromatic and finely detailed Pinot Noir from some of the Côte de Nuits’ most prized villages.

Nuits-Saint-Georges sits in the southern part of the Côte de Nuits and is known for Pinot Noir with depth, savoury structure and excellent ageing potential. Compared with the softer perfume of Chambolle-Musigny or Vosne-Romanée, Nuits-Saint-Georges often brings a little more power, earthiness and tannin, making it a classic cellar-worthy Burgundy style.

Cellaring Potential

Drinking beautifully now with bottle age, though it still has the structure to develop further. Under good cellaring conditions, it should continue to show well through to around 2030.
