Das Juice White 2024 is exactly what a good natural white should be. Fresh, vibrant, full of personality and wonderfully easy to drink, without getting too carried away with the whole natural wine philosophy.

Made from 80% Sauvignon Blanc and 20% Savagnin, this Adelaide Hills white is packed with lime, grapefruit, green apple and white peach, with orange blossom, subtle grassy notes and a little savoury character adding extra interest. The palate is crisp and lively, with bright acidity, gentle texture and a clean mineral finish.

Sauvignon Blanc brings the freshness and aromatic lift, while Savagnin gives the wine a little more texture and depth. The result is a beautifully balanced white that feels a little more interesting than your average Sauvignon Blanc, without wandering into the wild and occasionally questionable territory that natural wine can sometimes occupy.

Das Juice makes natural wine genuinely approachable. You get organically and biodynamically farmed fruit, minimal intervention and plenty of character without the inflated price tag. It is a cracking introduction to natural wine for anyone who enjoys crisp, refreshing whites but wants something a little different.

About The Winery

Das Juice is the natural wine project of James Audas and Tom Sheer, the team behind Lo Fi Wines. Their idea was refreshingly simple: make interesting, genuinely enjoyable wines from quality organic and biodynamic vineyards without the premium prices or unnecessary complications that sometimes come with natural wine.

Working with growers across South Australia, they focus on healthy vineyards, naturally fermented wines and minimal intervention in the winery. The wines are made without fining or filtration, with only a small addition of sulphur at bottling.

The 2024 White comes from the Adelaide Hills, where cooler growing conditions help retain the bright acidity and delicate aromatics that make Sauvignon Blanc and Savagnin such an appealing combination.

Sauvignon Blanc provides the citrus, green fruit and herbal freshness, while Savagnin contributes a little more savoury texture and minerality. Together, they produce a lively, expressive white that remains crisp, dry and beautifully balanced.

What makes Das Juice particularly appealing is the lack of unnecessary fuss. There are no grand claims about changing the future of wine, just thoughtfully grown fruit and a very drinkable result. Sometimes that is more than enough.
