Corryton Burge Shiraz 2024 is a rich, generous Barossa red with plenty of fruit, but it still feels nicely balanced rather than too heavy. Raspberry and mulberry lead the way, with dark chocolate, vanilla and a little cinnamon spice adding warmth and depth.

The palate is smooth and mid weight, with ripe berry fruit, fine tannins and a nice flow from start to finish. It has that classic Barossa richness, but there is enough freshness and structure to keep it really easy to enjoy. This is the sort of Shiraz that works just as well for a relaxed night in as it does when you want something a little more polished.

Tasting Notes

Aroma: Raspberry, mulberry, dark berries, vanilla and sweet cinnamon spice.

Palate: Smooth and generous with raspberry coulis, ripe berry fruit, dark chocolate and fine tannins.

Finish: Long and balanced with lingering berries, spice and a soft savoury edge.

About The Winery

Corryton Burge is a sixth generation Barossa family label with deep roots in South Australian winemaking. The range is built around wines that are generous, approachable and full of regional character, with the Barossa reds sitting right at the heart of the collection.

The 2024 Shiraz is a great example of that style. It has plenty of ripe Barossa fruit and warmth, but the fine tannins and mid weight structure stop it from becoming too big or overdone. For the price, there is a lot of wine in the bottle.

Cellaring Potential

Corryton Burge Shiraz 2024 is drinking very well now, but it also has the structure to develop further. The winery recommends cellaring for five to eight years, making now to around 2034 a comfortable drinking window under good storage conditions.
