Coriole Redstone Shiraz 2024 is a classic McLaren Vale Shiraz made from three key vineyard sources. Blewitt Springs brings bright red fruit, the Coriole Estate vineyard adds savoury structure, and Willunga contributes earthy richness. Redstone refers to the local ironstone found in the soils and historic buildings of McLaren Vale. The 2024 vintage was awarded a Silver Medal at the Sydney Royal Wine Show.

This is generous, smooth and very approachable, with raspberry, blackberry, plum, dark cherry, violet, olive leaf and soft oak. It has lovely fruit length, gentle tannins and a vibrant finish, making it a great everyday McLaren Vale red with genuine regional character.

Tasting Notes

Aroma: Raspberry, blackberry bramble, plum, dark cherry, violet, olive leaf, spice and subtle oak.

Palate: Medium bodied to full bodied with juicy dark fruit, soft tannins, savoury depth, gentle spice and smooth McLaren Vale richness.

Finish: Vibrant and generous with lingering plum, blackberry, spice and a soft earthy edge.

Serving Suggestions

About The Winery

Coriole is one of McLaren Vale’s most respected family wineries. The estate was founded by Hugh and Molly Lloyd in 1967, remains family owned, and is now a third generation family business. The original farmhouses were built in 1860, and the original vineyards were planted in 1919.

McLaren Vale is one of Australia’s great Shiraz regions, known for ripe fruit, savoury spice, generous texture and coastal freshness. Coriole has played an important role in the region’s modern story, not only through classic Shiraz, but also through pioneering work with Italian varieties such as Sangiovese.

Cellaring Potential

Coriole Redstone Shiraz 2024 is made to be enjoyed young for its bright fruit and soft tannins, but it can also be cellared over the short term. Drink now to 2030 under good storage conditions.
