The 2018 vintage brings together Tempranillo, Mazuelo, Graciano and Garnacha, giving the wine fruit, structure, freshness and spice. It is polished and full of character, with a velvety texture and a long dry finish. A lovely bottle for those who enjoy traditional Rioja with depth, balance and a little bottle age.

About The Winery

Viñedos del Contino is one of Rioja’s most respected estate producers. Founded in 1973, it helped introduce the château style concept to Rioja, with wines made from vineyards surrounding the estate.

The property is located in Laserna, near Laguardia in Rioja Alavesa, one of the most important areas for structured, fine and expressive Rioja reds. The estate vineyards sit within a bend of the River Ebro, giving Contino a strong sense of place and identity.

Contino Reserva is one of the estate’s signature wines. It combines the depth of Tempranillo with the freshness, spice and structure of traditional Rioja blending varieties, creating a red that feels mature, savoury and very satisfying.
