About The Producer

Christian Drouin is one of Normandy’s most respected Calvados producers, known for elegant apple and pear brandies that capture the orchards, traditions and character of the region. The family story began in the 1960s, when Christian Drouin senior purchased a farm in the Pays d’Auge and began ageing Calvados with a clear focus on quality and patience.

Over the following decades, the Drouin family built a reputation for beautifully expressive Calvados, using carefully selected cider apples and perry pears, traditional distillation and long ageing in oak. Today, the house is run by the next generations of the Drouin family and remains highly regarded for both classic aged Calvados and more modern, fruit driven styles.

Calvados is Normandy’s famous apple brandy, made from fermented cider and aged in oak. Christian Drouin Selection is designed as a youthful and lively expression, combining the sharp freshness of perry pears with the smoothness of cider apples. The ciders and perries are distilled in a column still, then aged in older casks to preserve the fresh fruit character and soft balance.
