About the Brewery

Chimay is brewed under Trappist supervision at Scourmont Abbey in Belgium, where brewing has been part of the abbey’s identity since 1850. The brewery is one of the world’s best known authentic Trappist producers, and its beers are brewed using water drawn from wells within the abbey precincts before undergoing secondary fermentation in bottle, a key part of the house style. That monastic heritage and meticulous brewing approach have helped Chimay build an enduring global reputation.
