About The Wine

Château L’Eglise Bordeaux 2023 is a medium bodied Bordeaux red made in a classic, approachable style. The 2023 vintage shows a deep colour, ripe red and dark fruit, subtle cocoa notes and a firm but polished structure, making it a very appealing everyday Bordeaux with plenty of character. It is matured for six months in oak, which adds shape and gentle savoury depth without overwhelming the fruit.

Tasting Notes

Aroma: Dark cherry, blackcurrant, vanilla, toasted oak and a touch of cocoa.

Palate: Velvety and medium bodied, with dark fruit, red berries, tobacco and mocha notes carried by a solid, well defined structure.

Finish: Long, smooth and satisfying, with precise tannins and lingering fruit and spice.

Serving Suggestions

A great match for roast beef, grilled lamb, hearty casseroles or hard cheeses. Serve at around 16 to 18°C.
