Cellier des Samsons Morgon 2022 is a classic cru Beaujolais made from Gamay, offering more depth, structure and savoury character than many lighter Beaujolais styles. From the Morgon appellation, this wine brings together bright red fruit, darker berry notes, spice and a fine chalky tannin line.

The 2022 vintage is vibrant and expressive, with cherry, raspberry, blueberry, bramble, subtle earth and gentle spice. It is juicy and fresh, but with enough grip and savoury detail to make it a great match for food.

Aroma: Cherry, raspberry, blueberry, bramble, violet, spice and light earthy notes.

Palate: Medium bodied and juicy with red and blue fruit, fresh acidity, savoury depth and fine chalky tannins.

About The Producer

Cellier des Samsons is a Beaujolais producer with roots dating back to 1978. The name is associated with approachable, well made wines from across the Beaujolais region, including village and cru expressions of Gamay.

Morgon is one of the ten cru villages of Beaujolais and is known for producing fuller, more structured wines. The cru sits around Mont du Py and is shaped by granite, blue stone and other complex soils that help give the wines depth, mineral detail and ageing potential.

Gamay from Morgon often shows cherry, raspberry and floral notes in youth, with darker fruit, earth, spice and savoury complexity developing over time. Cellier des Samsons Morgon captures this style with bright fruit, gentle chew and a classic Beaujolais freshness.
